The list of worst passwords for 2015 is out and boy are they as easy as pie! A password management application firm, SplashData recently released its list of 25 worst passwords that were created over the last year. The list was collated based on 3.3 million leaked passwords of 2014.
These passwords were mostly from Western Europe and North America. And guess what? Passwords '123456' and 'password' topped the list!
People often create passwords that are easy to remember and that don't require them to leave them written down on loose sheets of paper. Here's the complete list.
Because easy passwords make it really easy for hackers to crack through and access your personal information, SplashData brings you some easy tips to create stronger ones that can prevent hack-attacks on your social accounts.
Firstly, it's always advisable to create passwords that are 12 characters long, and contain different types of characters such as letters, numbers, etc.
Secondly, it's better if you have different passwords for different accounts, and keep changing them over a period of time.
If your password is extremely guessable, we advise you to change it asap. *runs to change hers*
